What counts as Column-level lineage?
Column-level lineage is the granularity impact analysis needs. Table-level tells you what depends on a table; column-level tells you which downstream queries hit a specific column — the question you have when you rename, retype, or drop one. Computed either by parsing SQL statically (catches every dependency in code, even unused ones) or by parsing query logs (catches only what was actually executed). Both methods have trade-offs; the strongest products combine them.
